About this Project
When we were approached to work on a 1920s cottage on a narrow block with an existing rear garage. Once we were on-site, we quickly got to work, rebuilding the existing garage and erecting the master ensuite on top of it before cutting the back of the cottage off. This allowed the clients to stay in the house longer and saved them from having to rent for an extended period of time.
With a focus on creating a seamless flow throughout the home, we designed the layout to ensure that there is a real sense of continuity, from the front door leading into the dining area, kitchen, and outdoor space, which is covered with a louvre. We also paid homage to the existing cottage at the front of the home while transitioning to a more modern cottage vibe at the rear, resulting in a design that is both organic and stylish.
Despite the challenges we faced during the pre-design phase, we were able to overcome them through our dedication to delivering exceptional results and our ability to work closely with the client to bring their vision to life. The end result is a stunning home that blends seamlessly with its surroundings while providing a comfortable and functional living space for the clients.
