The clients had unwavering trust in us to bring their vision to life. We converted the design’s suspended slab to a lightweight structure that allowed us to introduce some interesting, exposed joist details creating a New York loft like feel.
The inclusion of the double-sided fireplace and the Smartech door, which levers open entirely, are absolute show- stoppers and make this home unique and special.
The exposed recycled brick throughout the ground floor is in keeping with the industrial style approach, yet feels warm and inviting. The space is both a functional dining area for a family with 2 small children and also an elegant and comfortable grown-up living area.
An avid wine collector meant that an integrated wine cellar replete with temperature control and conditioning unit was a must.
This being a corner plot, security was key and an imposing brick wall and gate makes for a safe haven from the outside world, while the abundance of native planting on the verge adds a layer of greenery to city living
